Irrelevant statements on Ivanhoe Mines published in Corruption Watch’s Mining Royalties Research Report 2018

JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA – Ivanhoe Mines (TSX: IVN; OTCQX: IVPAF) and its South African subsidiary Ivanplats note the Mining Royalties Research Report 2018 published by Corruption Watch on March 26, 2019.

The companies place on record that the Platreef Mine near the town of Mokopane in Limpopo Province, South Africa, is currently under construction and is not in production. The issues raised in the report relating to royalties do not arise with regard to Ivanplats and Corruption Watch made no attempt to contact either Ivanhoe Mines or Ivanplats to verify facts.
